Values

Mission Statement

Working together to equip and release the people of God to affect their world both nationally and internationally.

Mission Values

  • Embracing the authority of scripture in full agreement with the statement of faith set out by the Evangelical Alliance.
  • Promoting unity and diversity to advance God's purpose.
  • Equipping and releasing people into immediate and long term fulfilment by training, teaching and opportunity.
  • Empowering individuals in every walk of life and being willing to go the second mile with them.
  • Seeing friendship as the basis of any working together.
  • Co-operating through friendship with other groupings and denominational churches to facilitate God's purpose.

Authority

We embrace the authority of scripture and the Holy Spirit.

Spiritual authority is relational rather than hierarchical. The lordship of Jesus is expressed currently to those who acknowledge his lordship. Anyone representing his authority will act on the same basis and in line with Jesus' own teaching (Luke 22: 25, 26).

Unity

Promoting unity and diversity to advance God's purpose.

True unity exists and operates under the lordship of Jesus. He is the Christ, the anointed one, in whom we find and express that oneness (Ps. 133). Whilst the basic doctrines of salvation remain non-negotiable, there exist varieties of theology and practice. We seek to work with those who may differ with us on non-debatable matters of doctrine on the basis of mutual respect and honour. This means that we do not deny the people of God of the availability of gift on the basis of theological difference.

The vision, the goal, is seeing God's people active in his purpose. It is the access of the various gifts to churches and individuals that will equip God's people (Eph. 4: 14).

Releasing

Releasing gift ministries to the church.

It is our conviction that all gift ministries should be available to every expression of local church. This means that no church is unnecessarily deprived of the appropriate equipping and input that it may need. We desire to see constant increase of the release of such gifts from amongst ourselves as well as embracing gifted people from other spheres.

Empowering

Empowering believers in every walk of life, being willing to go the second mile.

We believe that the effectiveness and power of grace go beyond entry into salvation. God's grace is continually extended to his people and any believers should first of all represent that grace to those who are repentant. It is grace that empowers a person and provokes confidence. It also enables them to go beyond past mistakes. It is the duty of all true believers to operate under this level of forgiveness and restoration (Matt. 18).
