After the orphanage the bulk of orphans face a one- to three-year buffer before they must face the harsh realities of life. These years they spend in a dorm at a technical school supposedly learning a trade. The difficulty is that most realize at this point that however difficult life was in the orphanage they are soon going to be totally on their own. It is at this crucial stage as depression and a sense of lostness sets in that we work with them, to give them a “future and a hope.”
