RE: New Day International – Joy Centre
A) Apostolic Visits – Apostle Tony Howson.
Apostle Tony’s last Visit was once again a gift from above. As usual our people love him and appreciate him as a grandfather figure. It was a little over 2 years since the first visit and since then Joy Centre has grown incredibly and a stabilizing factor in that fast growth has been my personal access to the loving and patient yet directly leveled insight and wisdom in support of leadership decision making process and strategy, offered by Tony’s gift ministry to Joy Centre. During this visit a number of pressing matters presented themselves and I praise God Apostle Tony was here at the time to help me correctly assess and assume correct positions and bring balanced discipline to bear.
Two years may seem long but in actual fact the hours spent together have been few, yet we still find ourselves continuously surprised at our agreement in doctrine and faith. It is rare in the kingdom that one finds gifting so purely dedicated to the edification of the body.
So once again to everyone responsible for sending Apostle Tony, we thank you out of our deepest heart for a gift that would have left us greatly lacking were we unable to receive it.
I say all this without stating the obvious, which I have stated so many times, with regards the anointing and manifest gifts, yet once again, wonderful to have someone who understands youth, be able to support and father leadership.
B) Crusade Tent Project Progress.
The tent has been stored as brand new up until now, the current sudden worldwide financial situation having somewhat affected the effort for stage two, namely the equipping of the tent with seating, lighting, sound & platform, & then finally stage three; the mobilizing of equipment as an evangelical kit / unit.
It is however exciting that in September we will be trucking the tent to a nearby township and holding revival meetings in the tent amongst a radically gang and violence riddled population. Another local church will be supplying the equipment and seating and we believe God that from there, the tent will move to another venue for revival and the greater bulk of finance needed for equipping and mobilization will be forthcoming with the momentum. Although held in unity with other local churches, Joy Centre will run the crusade & Joy Centre will be responsible for the entire ministerial staffing from worship to ushers. The two smaller tents purchased alongside are in use, one to be pitched outside our new venue to extend space for children church and the other in the township is used for soul-winners club out of which youth have led in excess of 5000 souls to the Lord in the last year as well as numerous prayer meetings and small in-town evangelical events ongoing literally daily.
Sincerely
V E Hutchinson
(Senior Pastor)
